Week 9

Vegetable Tasting Party

Thank you to Leila, Nick, Jasmine, Levi and Payten’s family for providing vegetables for our tasting party.  A lot of us tried almost all the vegetables!  Here are our findings:

carrots and radishes --- we are eating roots!

spinach and lettuce --- we are eating leaves!

cauliflower and broccoli --- we are eating flowers!

peas --- we are eating seeds!

Playing In the leaves

After learning about the leaves we went outside and played in the fallen leaves. What fun we had!

Week 7

Flowers for Kids

HyVee Floral department gave us a wonderful opportunity to learn about flowers and make a bouquet of flowers.  We were so excited to be able to share the beautiful flowers with our family members!
